Welcome to Wise Mind Therapy!
Where we are dedicated to helping the overwhelmed, the survivors, and the vulnerable.
A safe space to fall apart and come back together.
Who we serve
You're overwhelmed, tired, and have tried everything in your power to get better.
I work with hardworking, anxious, burnt out people of all ages who have survived trauma, are trying so hard to stay afloat and just want to swim.
Relax your shoulders. Take a breath. You are safe and worth living a better life. If you let me, I'd be honored to be on your side to support your mental health journey.

I’ll use a trauma-informed compassionate and collaborative approach that focuses on helping your mind, body, and emotions feel like a safe space instead of a battlefield. I’ll help you learn skills to manage your thoughts and emotions to keep you grounded. I know mental health is a vulnerable process and we will move at a pace that feels right for you.

Wise Mind Therapy is built off the values of compassion, resilience and open-mindedness.

I became a therapist after watching too many people I cared about struggle in silence, use harmful coping skills, and project their pain onto others. I want to create a space where it's okay to not have it all together, to fall apart in a safe way, and where asking for help is seen as strength, not weakness.
Hello!
Hello, I’m Melissa Sandino (she/her) and I'm a licensed therapist in Florida and Virginia who specializes in helping survivors of trauma, the anxiety driven, and the imposter syndrome folks who want to feel secure and at peace.
I've spent the last 6 years working with people of different ages, stages, and cultures who look like they have it all together but are barely holding on and want to feel grounded again.
